It was 2022 when Atlanta soul man ANTHONY DAVID rekindled his professional relationship with fellow Atlantean ALGEBRA BLESSETT (the pair had first worked together in 2011!). Their duet ‘Heaven’’ (a cover of the BeBe & CeCe Winans Eighties song) became a worldwide soul hit and a 2023 remix gave it new legs. Then last August the duo delivered a sweet and lovely cover of ‘Need You Now’ – an aching, country-tinged ballad first released by country band Lady Antebellum in 2009. Anthony and Algebra took it right on down to Soulsville!
To satisfy demand from other quarters, a couple of new mixes of the song have been commissioned. First off there’s a tweak from Italian producer and remix legend Michele Chiavarini who delivers exactly what the dancers demand. Then Anthony’s long-time collaborator Eddie ‘Gypsy’ Stokes has created his own pacey 121 BPM club offering. Different and intriguing! Completing this release package is the duo’s original acoustic version… all excellent and all good to go right now via Dome!
