Back in October we were treated to a lovely cover of Canadian singer, France Joli’s 1982 dance anthem ‘Gonna Get Over You’ from a pairing of two top soul sisters – SHAILA PROSPERE and TERRI GREEN! We were told that the original had long been a favourite of Ms Green’s and she always hoped to record it. In Shaila, she tells us, she’s found the perfect partner to help her deliver the song in the way she hoped. What the duo delivered was a powerful contemporary soul dancer which retained all the catchy parts of the original.
If you want more of a good thing, the duo have just unleashed a fresh remix of the song courtesy of UK mixer FRANK BLYTHE. The sound and vibe is bob of or the upcoming party season and the clever money’s on this one following the October release to the top of the Indie Soul Singles chart.
Looking forward, the single will be a part of Terri’s Soul Machine series which will launch in March of 2025.
