‘Stationary’ is the intriguing new single (taken from a compilation album, we’re told) from jazz funk outfit BIRDSNAKE. The band is a six piece but to help them deliver ‘Stationary’ they’ve drafted in rapper Pookie, FL-Smiley and N’fa Jones. The result is a hypnotic, groove that might remind you (just a little) of those early Guru projects. The rhyming is subtle and the sub soundscape is gentle, jazzy and persuasive… like we said “intriguing”.
