SQUARING UP!

Just last month New Orleans soul man SARGENT TUCKER entertained us with the  gentle, insinuating single, ‘I’m In Need (For Your Touch)’. We’re told that  the track was taken from an upcoming long player, ‘Simply Sargent Tucker’ We believe that the song was actually recorded (like much of the promised album) in 2013 with longtime collaborator Levi Seacer. Label/legal disputes mean that Tucker is now back in control of his music and so our man has just released another single from those recently retrieved masters.

Track in question is a lithe and lovely ‘All The Squares’. It’s a happy and infectious party groove; the melody is catchy, there’s a memorable little riff running through the track  and Sarge sings soulfully. ‘All The Squares’ proves once again that good soul music doesn’t  have to be over-complicated! It’s out  now!
