Detroit has its very own R&B Hall Of Fame… and why not! At the end of June the hall will be inducting new members and as part of that celebration Detroit’s Parkside Street will be re-named DAVID RUFFIN AVENUE!
LaMont Robinson, Founder and CEO of the National R&B HOF says, “I, along with the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame, presented the idea to the city of Detroit. I have been a major fan of The Temptations and Mr. Ruffin since childhood. We wanted to honour this legend with a street named after him, in a city that he loved so much. It brings me great pleasure and joy to see how happy and proud his family members are of this recognition. This is a major honour that will live on and on.”
