DEXTER KENDRICK is an indie soul singer from Harrisburg, PA. who debuted back in 2011 with the experimental LP, ‘Galaxy: A Memoir’

His follow up is the much more accessible and mainstream EP ‘Prelude’ which Dexter describes as “a walk down memory lane”. Mr K’s inspiration for the set was the soul of the 70s “when artists crafted grooves to comment on social and political problems”… problems which, Dexter says, have, sadly never gone away.

Lead track is the driving, urgent ‘Live In Me’ but our man is also confident to tackle one of the 70s most important songs – Marvin Gaye’s ‘What’s Going On’.

DEXTER KENDRICK’S ‘Prelude’ is currently available from all the usual internet portals.
