SOUL AND JAZZ IN THE PARK….

If you live in London or maybe visiting the capital on Wednesday, 18th August, here’s an interetesting proposition. The Kensington + Chelsea Festival will be presenting a soul and jazz show at the Opera Holland Park in conjunction with 606 Club, Chelsea.

The concert will be headlined by LEX CAMERON and MARY PEARCE. UK soul folk will know Cameron from his MD work with Omar and Leon Ware, while Pearce is a respected session singer who’s worked with people like Lionel Ritchie, Chaka Khan, Courtney Pine, Mica Paris and Roy Ayres. She’s currently a member of Boy George’s band. Though there are no details we’re promised that the duo will be supported by a “stellar” band.

Now here’s the thing –  tickets for the show are being offered on a Pay What You Want basis. Pay What You Want allows you to book tickets according to your household means. You can come for free or subsidise someone who would not normally be able to attend. Usual ticket price would be £20. Simple – just select the amount that suits your budget. Kensington + Chelsea Festival is a not-for-profit company. All of the money raised from ticket sales goes towards paying the artist, the technicians and the venue costs. This ticketing system only allows you to buy one ticket at a time. Please add further tickets required individually.
