New Orleans’ own SARGENT TUCKER has just enjoyed a #1 soul smash with his lovely Drizabone mixed ‘I Need Your Love’. Lazy and languid, it was/is a perfect, hypnotic summer groove. The cut’s about to win a vinyl release on DSG Records and to make investigation more essential, the disc boasts a new mix on the B side.
The new tooling is dubbed “Sargent’s 7″ 2016 mix” and if anything, it’s even more laid back than the mix the modern soul crowd have come to know and love. Complete with some lovely harmonica, the whole arrangement seems geared to highlight Mr T’s appealing soul tones.
