Soul legend (for sure!) SMOKEY ROBINSON has just released a new single, ‘If We Don’t Have Each Other’. Age (our man is 82!) hasn’t dimmed his energy or that wonderfully, unique voice. The new tune is a sweet, gentle mid-tempo item with pleasing guitar interludes.
We’re informed that ‘If We Don’t Have Each Other’ is the lead single from an upcoming Robinson LP, ‘Gasms’, due April 28. (cover above). The singer says of ‘If We Don’t Have Each Other’. “I chose this song as the first single of my new album because it’s different musically and has a slide dance feeling to it… which is different from what I’ve ever done before. It also has a current rhythm of today that I love, and I hope everyone else does too.”
