Fans of UK soul star ALICE RUSSELL need to know that the big-voiced lady features on the upcoming album from a virtual new band, THE SKELETONS. The outfit is the brain child of London-based muso BENEDIC LAMDIN, best known maybe for his work with NOSTALGIA 77. Enigmatically, he says “This band doesn’t exist. They never stood in the studio together… they just passed though my house.“. We do know , though, that ALICE R exists and she lends her soulful tones to the edgy ‘Adam And Eve’, again proving that there’s more to new wave Brit soul than AMY W and DUFFY. The album, by the way, is called ‘Smile’ and is released in March on Impossible Ark Records.
