Brooklyn born singer/songwriter BETTE SMITH is an artist with old school soul values. Gospel reared, her music is always tough and feisty – a music that doesn’t tale prisoners; witness her albums ‘Jetlagger’ and ‘The Good, The Bad And The Bette’. Both drew comparisons to the late and great Tina Turner.
Get to know the uncompromising Ms Smith via her new single – a raw, bluesy cover of Terence Trent D’Arby’s 1987 hit, ‘Sign Your Name’. On the track, the biting guitar parts come from famed blues guitarist Arthur Adams, known for his stunning collaborations over his multi-decade career with the likes of Nina Simone, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King and more.
