SHE’S A DARK HORSE…

LUSAINT is a new(ish) singer/songwriter from Stretford up there in deepest, darkest Greater Manchester. She began her career singing in bars where covers were the order of the day and eventually she began uploading her cover versions  of things like En Vogue’s ‘More Than Friends’, Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ and Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Games’  onto that thing called the internet! Lusaint’s quirky and unique takes on the very familiar ended up being streamed over 20 million times! (Honest).

So, it became a no-brainer for her to make her own records and her latest single is starting to grab attention. It’s a moody, introspective ‘Dark Horse’. The sound is intimate with a soulful undertow  betraying Lusaint’s love of Motown, jazz and blues – the music she grew up listening to. The sound of ‘Dark Horse’  has that currently popular, deep emotional tug and is  reminiscent of Mica Millar’s music. No coincidence that Mica is a Mancunian  too!
