SHAW SHOT!

alt

DIANE SHAW is one of UK soul’s best kept secrets. She’s been in the biz or longer than she cares to remember but has her own devoted following. Lady Di’s reputation’s such that she’s always busy – she’s a top session singer, the go-to-girl for live bvs and then, of course, there’s her own shows, In between times she tries to find the time to make her own records and her 2015 album ‘Life, Love And Strings’ was critically acclaimed and play listed by all the best soul stations.

The good news is that Ms S is all set to release a new long player. It’s called ‘Second Chance’, and sneak previews reveal a set that surpasses the excellence of ‘Life, Love And Strings’. The album features plenty of new songs plus a version of a rarely heard Jimmy Webb song ‘(Come Back) Halfway’ (written during his tenure with Motown), a new Michael McDonald song – ‘Someone Like You’ and H-D-H’s ‘Remember Me’. Yep, it sounds good and we’ll bring a full review right here very soon.
