We’ve been tracking the career of London-based blue-eyed soul man DANNY TOEMAN since 2014 when he impressed with his double A sided single – ‘That Sinking Feeling’/’Layin’ It On The Line’. Since then our Dan’s released plenty of quality blue-eyed soul but he’s never quite broke through in the way his talent deserves.
Today, Friday 15th April, he tries again with the release of a new single, ‘Shake The Blues (Outa Your Shoes)’ – a big, rough and tough, organic groove with a funky 70s undertow. Danny wrote the song on so called “Blue Monday” as an antidote to what is supposed to be the year’s most depressing day! So, ‘Shake The Blues (Outa Your Shoes)’ extols the virtues of letting loose and dancing like no one’s watching or even if they are you don’t give a proverbial monkeys! Life’s out there – go grab it!!!
