Oxfordshire-based, blue-eyed soulstress ABI FARRELL struts into 2022 with a sprightly, crisp, up-tempo new tune… ‘Stepping Out Of Your Shadow’.
Sonically, I guess we could say the tune pays homage to the classic Northern soul sound – a world away from the sombre sounds of her last outing, ‘Don’t Follow Me’. Ms F’s voice though is as emotive and powerful while the message in the music is just as important as that earlier single: I’m stepping out of your shadow / I won’t be lonely when you pick up your stride”, a strong and positive message to begin 2022!
