London born, Australian based soul and jazz producer JAZZYD (there is no gap in his name) has impressed this year with some tasty singles and he returns this week with a lovely, tear jerker ‘Season’s Change’. We’re told that the theme is a Thanksgiving Day break up. Now, we don’t “do” Thanksgiving over here (forget Black Friday!), but that doesn’t stop this tune being relevant. It’s sweet and soulful with a great femme vocal (sadly anonymous on our copy) and, living up to that “JazzyD” name, a jazzy sax break from who we’re told is a “Mystery Composer and saxophonist”. The intrigue takes nothing from this lovely track.
