Always good to have new music from top New Orleans contemporary soul man SARGENT TUCKER – so let’s welcome his latest single, ‘No One Can Replace You’.
Hang on! That’s not new – our man released the song in 2019 and back then we described it as a classy slab of smooth, sophisticated soul. And it still is. However, we know you can’t keep a good tune down, so the good Sarge has had the track remixed into a new and completely charming version. It boasts tight beats, a live horn section with the soulful vocal right at the top of the mix. Oddly, we think, the new mix leaves out the brief spoken passage that features on the original. It’s still a good ‘un though!
