Everybody’s’ fave Celtic soul man – SIR VAN MORRISON – releases his 37th studio album in September. ‘Roll With The Punches’ is, we’re told, a 15 tracker that offers five new Morrison songs and ten covers of blues and soul standards associated with people like Bo Diddley, Mose Allison, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Sam Cooke.
Helping Sir Van deliver his unique soul sound are jazz and soul luminaries Chris Farlowe, Georgie Fame, Jeff Beck, Paul Jones and Jason Rebello.
The album will be available on CD and deluxe 2 LP double gatefold vinyl.
