Soul singer ROBBIE LOVE has quite a pedigree. She’s the daughter of the mighty soul and gospel star Mary Love Corner who sadly died in 2013. Who doesn’t love her gospel classic – ‘Come Out Of The Sandbox’? Then, one of Robbie’s uncles was Charles Wright of the WaHs 103 Street Rhythm Band and her family were real close friends with people like Dennis Edwards, Willie Hutch and Lamont McLemore of the Fifth Dimension.
Little wonder that a career in music beckoned young Ms Love. Indeed by the time she was in her teens she was singing BVs for he mum and then went on to work with other “names” before launching hr own solo career, sometimes working as “Rov’Ve”. Some may remember her ‘Gotta Go By What You Tell Me”.
Right now she’s back to being simply “Robbie Love” and she’s just launched a powerful single – ‘24/7’. It’s a big, brash contemporary soul groove packed with passion and vocal commitment but, like we said, given the lady’s pedigree you’d except nothing less! Out now and recommended!
