One of 2015’s most welcome happenings was the comeback of UK soul man PAUL JOHNSON. For a few years now the man with the golden voice had been working away in an inner London college, mentoring disadvantaged students.
Music kept calling though and earlier this year he pleased the discerning soul community with his lovely ‘Better Than This’. More recently the more up-tempo ‘The Road’ kept the Paul Johnson momentum going and now that very tune is available in a very special DJ Spinna remix.
The Spinna/Johnson ‘The Road’ is, as you’d expect, one of 2015’s classiest soulful house cuts and with Paul at the mic, the emphasis is on the SOUL in “soulful”.
