Australia’s premier funk and soul band, THE BAMBOOS, return with their keenly anticipated fifth long player for Brighton’s Tru Thoughts label on June 4th. Entitled ‘Medicine Man‘ the 12-track album features vocal cameos from Aloe Blacc, Daniel Merriweather, Megan Washington, Bobby Flynn, Ella Thompson, and Tim Rogers, as well as the group’s regular chanteuse, Kylie Auldist.
The album’s preceded by a double-A-sided single on May 21st: the infectious summer groover, ‘Where Does The Time Go?,’ fronted by Aloe Blacc and ‘I Got Burned‘ featuring the vocals of You Am I lead singer, Tim Rogers. Both tracks have been receiving heavy rotation on BBC’s 6 Music station.
