Brooklyn-born soulstress NICOLE WILLIS is readying the release of her new LP – ‘My Soul Sensation’ which she says “will recreate the flavours of people like Rod Temperton, Bobby Caldwell & Maurice White”. The first single from the set, ‘I Call Your Name’, did conjure up those classic soul sounds and there’s more of the same on ‘Reparate’ the second single from the album.
On the bass heavy tune Ms Willis is supported by her new musicians – Banda Palomita. The group is comprised of Ndioba Gueye (electric bass), Julius Heikkilä (guitars), Antti Kujanpää (keyboards, synths, and sequencer), Ilari Larjosto (drums, engineer, and producer) and Luiz Orlando Sá Do Carmo (percussion).
‘Reparate’ will be available on Persephone Records from February 8th.
