Veteran US DJ, producer and remixer JOE VENTURA has been on the scene for almost 3 decades. His CV includes work with people Robert Owens, Victor Simonelli, Sulene Fleming and productions that include the biggies Jestofunk’s ‘Can We Live Together’ and Headrush’s ‘Underground’. Big Joe now fronts his own label – BIG Speaker Music and that’s the source of his latest offering – a lovely, blissed-out Balearic style Piano House outing titled, ’12 Minutes Of Pleasure’… and yes, it clocks on at an impressive 12 minutes – 12 minutes 5 seconds to be precise.
What you get is a proper sun kissed, Café Del Mar chill out groove – gentle percussion, crystalline piano, acoustic guitar and tinkling vibes – oh and some of those classic almost other-worldly spoken word passages! It’s all quite enchanting which begs the question why this lovely confection is dubbed the “Doo Doo Break” mix!
