Never one to drop bombshells, the Little Purple One, PRINCE, has, this weekend, announced that he has re-signed to Warner Brothers Records, the label for many of his biggest hits and, if you remember, the label he was also at war with over things like artistic integrity and ownership rights.
His Highness’s statement said that Warner Brothers will be reissuing his classic recordings (including a deluxe 30th anniversary ‘Purple Rain’ set) as well as all his new music… and that new music has started to flow immediately. Prince has just released a big power ballad called ‘The Breakdown’ and it’s available right now on I-tunes.
Prince’s statement said that “other projects are set to follow“. He added ; “A brand-new studio album is on the way and both Warner Bros Records and Eye (sic) are quite pleased with the results of the negotiations and look forward to a fruitful working relationship,”
