Singer/songwriter RUBY IVY hails from Cork in Ireland and over the last couple of years she’s impressed with a series of sensitive , gentle singles like ‘Fault Line’, ‘Made To Be Yours’ and ‘Evergreen’.
Ruby now return with another beguiling cut, ‘Precious’. She says: “’Precious’ came together effortlessly and I think it reflects in the music. I spend a lot of my time writing lyrics on the fly, especially on the tube or on planes. I showed this verse I had written on my phone to my producer Alex Larsson at Matrix Studios and he loved it. We ran with it and the rest of the song and production just flowed in a couple hours. I floated all the way home”. As the title implies, the song talks of how precious love is and the soundscape perfectly complements that theme – dreamy and laid back and delivered in a smoky, soulful voice.
