P M WARSON is a London-based singer/songwriter. When we were introduced to him a few years back he cited The Impressions’ ‘Keep On Pushing’ and the Isley Brothers’ original 1964 recording of ‘That Lady’ as two of his favourite records! That makes him a top man in our book!
We’ve enjoyed a slew of singles and a couple of albums (‘Dig Deep, Repeat’ and ‘True Story’) from him and we’re delighted to report that PM’s working on a new long player, due September.
In the meantime, the set’s first single is lined up for release next week -May 17th . It’s ‘Right Here, Last Night’ – a soul throwback sound with a Northen vibe. It’s a classic soul club sound and is released on Warson’s own label, FYND which is distributed by Acid Jazz.
We believe that there’s vinyl on the way too with ‘Retrace The Steps’ as the B side.
