Earlier this month Oakland based soulstress DEE DEE SIMON entertained us with a great 80’s Weekender throwback sound, ‘The Player’.
As we often say, you just can’t keep a good tune down, so it’s back – bigger and brighter in a new GEORGIE B mix. Veteran Georgie knows his way around soul production for sure as here he adds clever flourishes and garnishes to give ‘The Player’ just a little more bite and a UK flavour. Dee Dee’s passionate vocals aren’t half bad either – mind you, you’d except that, the girl’s got real pedigree… Apollo Talent show winner and finalist on ‘America’s Got Talent;!
