THE FRANKS (Jon, Kaleb and Tane) are a hard-gigging UK vocal trio who’ve e recently been making waves in the London area with their live shows and infectious pop-soul single ‘Lies’.
The trio came together in 2009 after meeting at London Gospel Choir show and they soon discovered their mutual love for soul and Motown. The band quickly built a strong live fan base playing regular gigs at venues including, Ronnie Scotts, Floriditas, Café De Paris and Madame JoJos.
Earlier this year they released their first single ‘Lies’ and the chunky, slice of pacey pop soul fronted by a gritty Kaleb vocal won support from Radio 2. The single can currently be accessed via the Freethemusicbook.com web site where you can also enjoy a selection of other Franks’ songs, including inspired yet respectful covers of the Four Seasons’ ‘The Night’ and Mitch Ryder’s ‘Jenny Takes A Ride’. Amongst the originals you’ll find some sweet pop-soul ballads like ‘Top Of The Bottom’ and the Franks’ take on the Motown sound – a boppy ‘Nobody Loves You’.
