It was recorded in Washington DC under the aegis of legendary Philly producers, Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff. ‘Patti LaBelle Live In Washington DC’ features 14 songs, including electrifying versions of ‘Lady Marmalade,’ ‘The Spirit’s In It,’ and ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now.’ The CD climaxes with Patti’s spirited rendition of the Judy Garland-associated standard ‘Over The Rainbow,’ a favourite with the singer since her days leading her group the Blue Belles in the 1960s.
