KOOL AND THE GANG are careering forward to their 60th anniversary next year and the band (now essentially founding members Robert “Kool” Bell (bassist) and George “Funky” Brown(keyboardist and drummer)) have just released a new album via Astana Music Inc, distributed by BFD/The Orchard.
The announcement of the new LP came via the May release of single, ‘Let’s Party’ which featured vocalist Sha Sha Jones and to whet appetites further another new single is on offer. It’s ‘We Are The Party’ and like the previous ‘Let’s Party’ the title says it all. It’s a big, booming celebratory sound proving that despite their veteran status Kool and the Gang can still deliver the grooves!
