Latest release from ever-reliable TOM GLIDE is a collaboration with Japanese soulful house singer, UMISING. The lady’s based in Yokohama where she has quite a following and Tom’s been called in to remix her tune, ‘Ocean One’. He’s created a “Yokohama Tightrope” tweak that’s tight and crisp and replete with catchy hooks – as you’d expect from someone with Monsieur Glide’s background.
The vocal’s in Japanese, but that matters not one jot as it’s the feel and the vibe that counts. It’s a proper head nodder/foot tapper. However, Tom tells us that the song is about “the ocean of hope which we’re all looking for”. Now you know!
