Earlier this year, SILK SONIC’S lovely ‘Leave The Door Open’ won admirers worldwide – no.1 everywhere, while the video had millions and millions (billions?) of views.
The band (essentially the divine pairing of Bruno Mars and Anderson.Paak.) have just released a new tune simply called ‘Skate’ and on it the pair crank up the pace a little creating a wonderful 70s roller skating soundscape that melds elements of Blaxploitation and Philly in a remarkably endearing way. It’s a proper lush groove and clearly the Silk Sonic brigade are having a great time!
We believe that the ‘Skate’ video had over 6.5 million views in the first 24 hours of its release! No wonder!
