One of the undoubted highlights on RAJA-NEE’S acclaimed summer album, ‘The Sovereign Of 14742’ was her version of the oft-recorded Bacharach and David song ‘One Less Bell To Answer’. So, cutting to the chase, Raja’s team have wisely decided to release it as a stand alone single.
If you missed it, we can tell you that this take is a gentle builder with graceful Earl Klugh acoustic-style guitar adding depth. The guitarist here is actually Raja’s long-time collaborator Wilfred Frelix and between them they craft a version of the familiar that is every bit as soulful as earlier versions.
