MISTER REBOUND is a new US music collective marshalled by drummer and multi-instrumentalist Joey Campanella and including members of Durand Jones & The Indications, Orgone, & Turkuaz.
With the band, Joey’s aim is to deliver what he calls “sparse, shimmery grooves and late night party anthems that sound right coming out of bedside speakers or being blasted out of your car while cruising down the strip”
See if you agree by investigating Mister Rebound’s current single, ‘Trapped In Paradise’. It’s a gentle, smooth groove that mixes dreamy and seductive guitars with a laid-back retro funk/soul groove. It’s a head nodder for sure! Watch out for what sounds like a false start, though!
