MARCUS MALONE is a Detroit vocalist who you may know from fronting T.O.E’s 2022 soul chart rider ‘Say It Loud’. Marcus has also worked with Dan Smith of the Noisettes and recently the pair got together again to make some real old school R&B and soul.
The twosome now have an album’s worth of material and the LP, ‘Interstate 75’ is set for an April release. We’ve already had a single, – a fierce, feisty and funky ‘Can’t Take The Fight’, credited to Marcus Malone and The Motor City Hustlers and to hammer home what they’re all about the band have just released the LP’s title track and we can tell you that ‘Interstate 75’ (the track) is a blistering, brassy, 60s flavoured work out with a deep bass line nicked straight from ‘In The Midnight Hour’ and freaky guitar work! We’re told that there’s No’West Remixes on the way too. The label, by the way, is Ramrock.
