Aussie powerhouse trio COOKIN’ ON 3 BURNERS return to the fray, releasing a new single, this Friday, 25th August. The release proffers two very different but equally satisfying sounds ‘I’m Coming Home To You’ and ‘Whole Woman’. Both cuts feature soulful vocals from STELLA ANGELICO, the band’s resident live show vocalist.
‘I’m Coming Home To You’ is fast (almost Northern) and crisp and catchy, delivering a message that you need to return home to “find the nourishment you crave”. ‘Whole Woman’ is very different. It’s a downtempo, almost mournful meander with a Southern soul feel. What it does do is to allow Ms Angelico show that she can deliver emotion as well as sass! A highlight of the track is Jake Mason’s swirling Hammond organ while “the other two” (guitarist Dan West and drummer ‘Choi’ Khatchoyan) offer sympathetic support.
