German-originated, Portuguese-based soul-jazz outfit led by Oliver Belz, THE BAHAMA SOCIAL CLUB return to the fray with another intriguing single, ‘Till I Landed’.
Vocals on this one are down to TIAGO SAGA a singer of British, Lebanese and Spanish descent brought up in Portugal. He specializes in what he calls “a hybrid style of folk and world music”. Add to that idea how the Social Club’s PR team describe Till I Landed’: “a chilling Hula skank with loose dabs of Hawaiian influences blended with alluring reggae chops” and you can imagine that the cut has a peculiar vibe – but not without appeal. It’s sunny and optimistic and it’s out now via Buyu Records
