‘No Risk No Reward’ is the upcoming long player from acclaimed US gospel star Isaac Carree. The set is Carree’s first album in a long seven years. In that time he’s published his first gospel service book and toured with people like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
First single from the album is a sweet, R&B tinged ballad, ‘Her’ – a tribute to his wife. Odd for a gospel album? Well not really. The singer tells us that whilst touring in the past few years he came to the opinion that God wanted him “see and experience some things that I would have never have seen or experienced had I not stepped out on those tours”.
In fact, he adds that over half of this record is dedicated to women and love, though there is a gospel undertow to those songs too. In the meantime, Carree’s ‘Her’ comes recommended for lovers of sensual, contemporary balladeering.
