Since she debuted back in 2005 with the LP ‘Keep Reachin’ Up’, NICOLE WILLIS has become an underground soul heroine. Backed by the tight, funky SOUL INVESTIGATORS, the Finnish-based soulstress has won plaudits right across the board … from the mainstream Mojo magazine right through to eclectic DJ GILLES PETERSEN.

The good news is that NICOLE’S back with brand new material. February next year sees the release of a new album – ‘Tortured Soul’ – on Timmion Records. Set to keep her in the soul/funk Premier League, the LP’s preceded by a glorious double A sider single – ‘Tell Me When’/’It’s All Because Of You’.

‘Tell Me When’ is a delicious, organic slice of 60s sounding soul built around a catchy chorus and sweet danceable rhythms. The SOUL INVESTIGATORS are in fine, brassy form throughout. ‘It’s All Because Of You’ is quite different; a raw ballad that underlines what we learned back in 2005 – that NICOLE WILLIS is a soul stylist of the highest order.

The single will be available in 7″ vinyl and as a download from October 29th.
