Veteran Florida-born jazz chanteuse and songwriter, CARMEN LUNDY, releases her fourteenth long player, titled ‘CODE NOIR’ via the Afrasia Productions imprint. A seductive meld of straight-ahead jazz, Brazilian samba grooves and stylish pop, it features twelve songs, all delivered by Lundy in her own inimitable way.
A native of Miami, Lundy began her career with the classic album, ‘Good Morning Kiss,’ for the Blackhawk label in 1985 and followed it up with LPs for Sony, Arabesque, JVC, and the Justin Time label before launching her own company, Afrasia Productions, with producer Elisabeth Oei in 2004. Away from the jazz scene, Lundy is also a noted stage actress as well as being a highly-regarded mixed media artist and painter.
‘CODE NOIR’ is out now. Look out for a full review soon at SJF.
