Earlier this month we posted the news that STEVE NICHOL, original keyboardist and sometimes vocalist with LOOSE ENDS was preparing the release of a new, quality 4 track EP for EXPANSION RECORDS.
Well the team over at Expansion, tell us that said EP, What The Heart Wants’ is now good to go. The title track heralded the release and this ‘What The Heart Wants’ was a broody, building contemporary Brit soul groove with a convincing and soulful vocal from super sessionist DEBBY BRACKNELL.
Ms B fronts the other three tracks too – the big, Latino-flecked ‘What The Hell’, the gentler ‘Senorita’ and the exotic and sweet ‘Children’. All deliver bags of live atmosphere and helping Steve and Debby craft their sounds are some star players – people like Greek born but now UK-based keyboardist DIMITRIS DIMOPOULOS, Shakatak bassist GEORGE ANDERSON and sometime Incognito trumpet man SID GAULD.
