MOVIN’ MY WAY…

HOLLIE COOK is a UK singer and keyboardist. Daughter of Sex Pistol drummer Paul Cook, her mother crafted BVs for bands like Culture Club . Little wonder, Hollie pursued a music career. A one-time member of all-female punk/reggae band, the Slits, she’s now well-known on the reggae/lovers rock scenes, so normally her music might not trouble this web site.

Her latest release though might please some of the broader minded soul crowd who a have a feel for light, melodic, heartfelt tunes delivered with bittersweet tenderness. Hollie’s tune is ‘Move My Way’ whose sound  she describes as “tropical pop”. Make of that what you will – but it sure is sweet and catchy with a soul undertow!

‘Move My Way’ also comes in percussive Black Science Orchestra Remixes which, by cranking up the tempo, totally change the mood. Their  electronic jazz flavours are aimed straight at the dance floor.
