October sees the release of the latest round-up compilation from indie, envelope pushing label, TRU THOUGHTS. The label has been in business for 19 years now and annually label boss, ROBERT LUIS assembles a collection that reflects the best of Tru Thoughts’ annual output under the catch all title ‘SHAPES’.
This year’s ‘Shapes’ come with the tag ‘Mountains’ and it features what Luis considers the best of his team’s… classic cuts, recent release and inspired remixes. He says; “I always enjoy compiling ‘Shapes’ as it give me an opportunity to revisit everything Tru Thoughts has put out over the last year. It’s great to be working with artists who are creatively passionate about the music they make”.
Amongst those “passionate artists” on ‘Mountains’ are Moonchild, the Seshen, Prince Fatty, Quantic, Belleruche and Hot 8 Brass Band. The album is out digitally and in limited edition green double vinyl (with full download card) on October 12th
