Anyone soul fan planning a trip to the States next spring might well want to check out what’s being billed as a MOTOWN CELEBRITY-ENCOUNTER WEEKEND. It seems that the weekend event will be a one off opportunity to get really close to the essence of the iconic music empire.
The venue, of course, is Detroit and the event will run April 22-25, 2017. Places on the weekend are limited to just 100 and at the moment we don’t have any price details. But for whatever price you might pay, you get the following:
• A private concert and “meet & greet” with the Four Tops at the Roostertail Club. The legendary and always genial Duke Fakir, we’re sure, will have plenty of anecdotes and tales of Motown history to tell!
• A tour and cocktail reception at the Motown Museum hosted by Martha Reeves
• A tour of several landmarks of the Motor City which influenced the Motown sound.
