Back last year sometime Mint Condition man Stokely (Williams) released a well-received album, ‘Sankofa’. Key cut by common consent was ‘Jeopordy:Verbalize’ which featured Snoop Dogg. The track was also included on Snoop’s own 2022 ‘Presents’ collection.
Stokley’s people have released a number of cuts from ‘Sankofa’ and the latest is a pleasing contemporary soul groove – ‘Café’. It’s a wonderful showcase for Mr W’s sweet and lovely voice , supported by a full on production and the good news for those old fashioned soul folk, the new edit is minus the rap from Wale.
