Last month the soul world was mightily impressed by the Anita Baker-inflected sound of MIRACLE THOMAS. The Virginian soulstress was busy promoting her five track EP, ‘Expect A Miracle’ from which the gorgeous ballad ‘You Take My Breath Away’ drew the Ms Baker comparisons while ‘Love Me’ won plenty of plays on the modern soul circuit.
Believing that it’s good to strike while the iron’s hot, Ms Thomas is set to release a brand new single at the end of this week – a dreamy, mid-tempo floater ‘Why Have I Lost You.’. Though she’s adamant that she has her own special sound, ‘Why Have I Lost You’ is bound to keep the Anita Baker comparisons coming… not a bad thing in my book!
