The ever-lovely MELBA MOORE has a new album out… ‘Imagine’ and it’s winning plenty of praise. The big tune appears to be a steady, stately, adult soul groove, ‘Take Her Picture Down’ and, wisely, Melba and her team have decided to release it as a single. It really is a lovely piece of work and shows why Ms M has enjoyed such longevity – she’s a supreme soul stylist and the song boasts a very catchy title chorus hook.
The single’s putative B side is the edgy ‘Take Me Away’. Again, melba is in fine form but ‘Take Her Picture Down’ is the superior cut. Out now!
