The latest offering from blue-eyed UK soulster, MATHER is a sweet double A-sided single… ‘You Can Do More’/’Let’s Dance Together’.
It seems that Mr M was working on an album to be called ‘The Lockdown’ but, ironically, the actual lockdown put paid to that! But, the good news, is that these two tracks were eventually completed.
‘You Can Do More’ is a pleasant, easy-on-the-ear head nodder which, we’re told was inspired by a friend of Mather’s who life seemed to have taken a downward turn. The song is a call for positivity and just to get out there – “party like you used to do”.
’Let’s Dance Together (After The Storm)’ offers more positivity and optimism and the metaphor in the title speaks for itself. Out now!
