The renaissance of LISA STANSFIELD continues apace with Demon Music Group’s release of all of the Rochdale songstress’ Arista back catalogue.
Lisa’s classic albums – ‘Affection’, ‘Real Love’, ‘So Natural’, ‘Lisa Stansfield’ and ‘Face Up’ will all be available as deluxe 2CD +DVD editions , while a further 3 CD pack – ‘People Hold On; The Remix ‘ Anthology ‘ – pulls together all the big club tunes that made Ms S such a big favourite through the 90s.
Each package includes the remastered album plus rare tracks, 12″ remixes, live footage, interviews and a 28 page booklet stuffed with memorabilia, lyrics and new sleeve notes… all bringing a new perspective to old favourites.
The 3 CD remix pack offers a plethora of real collectors’ gems – including all the iconic remixes from the giants of the art – Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work, David Morales and Ashley Beedle. You also get the long in-demand, full length disco mix of the Coldcut tune ‘People Hold On’!
For proper Lisa Stansfield fans the collection also comes as one 18 disc box set – presented in a lavish slipcase and for those who pre-order the box via the D2C store there’s an extra big bonus….. a signed and limited edition bonus 12″ single featuring two of the late Frankie Knuckles remixes of a pair of Lisa’s best – ‘Change’ and ‘Never, Never Gonna Give You Up’.
In the meantime Lisa’s last album ‘Seven’ is now available with a whole host of extras (see our reviews archive) and the single from the album – ‘There Goes My Heart’ – is already becoming a radio and soul club staple… especially in the wonderful Soul Talk remix.
