Detroit’s KATHY KOSINS is currently causing plenty of interest … enough to get soul and jazz entrepreneurs Brian Hurst, Brian Powers and Gilles Peterson interested in working with her.

Indeed Mr Peterson licensed the lady’s’ ‘Could You Be Like Me’ for one of his Brownswood Bubblers compilations. Little wonder the tune (the lead cut from Kathy’s ‘Uncovered Soul’ set and a collaboration with Paul Randolph) sat right on the cusp on Neo Soul and Nu Jazz and in the Opolopo mix it was even more interesting.

Now the ever resourceful Peterson has sorted out his own mixes – three of ’em… confusingly all called Simbad mixes. They’re available in three different lengths… so take your pick! All available from September 8th.
